I am a Fellow of the Institute of Acoustics and have over 30 years of professional experience in Health and Safety, including occupational noise and vibration exposure, across a wide range of industry sectors. I spent just over 20 years employed as an inspector by the Health and Safety Executive, including six years employed as one of HM Specialist Inspectors of Health and Safety (Noise and Vibration), supporting general inspectors in the investigation and prevention of occupational exposures associated with ill health, developing inspection policy and guidance and acting as technical customer for research work.
I am an Acoustic Consultant with over 25 years of experience in the field of noise and vibration, in the prevention of occupational injuries associated with hand arm vibration, whole body vibration, and hazardous noise. I have experience in various industries, including the military environment, aerospace, automotive, food and beverage, automated money counting, and cardboard recycling industries, in greenspace environments, and in ventilation plants and data server rooms. I am a member of the Institute of Acoustics.

I have a wide range of experience in all industry sectors, including oil and gas, pharmaceutical, Ministry of Defence, manufacturing, farming, food manufacture, education, aerospace, leisure, public sector (schools, hospitals) and chemical manufacturing.
I am a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, with over 25 years of noise and vibration experience, mostly in the investigation and prevention of occupation exposures associated with ill health and the engineering control of noise and vibration. I spent 4 years employed as one of HM Specialist Inspectors of Health and Safety (Noise and Vibration), involved in the investigation and prevention of occupational exposures associated with ill health, and developing guidance.
